The calavera sugar skull is the most widely recognized symbol of Mexico’s Day of the Dead celebration. In this class you will make a three-dimensional sterling silver calavera with a moveable jaw!  Learn how to pattern sheet metal with a rolling mill, use a jeweler’s saw and add depth and dimension to a flat shape. You will also learn to patina silver and attach jump rings to create a moveable element. No previous experience required. All materials are included in the tuition.

Make a beautiful ring that is perfect for busy hands. Spinner rings, also known as fidget or meditation rings, consist of a wide band that stays in place and thinner rings that move freely. This is a challenging project that combines creativity and precision. You will increase your soldering skills, learn jewelry math, how to texture metal and mechanical polishing techniques. This is an intermediate level class; students must have soldering experience.

Make a festive pair of holiday earrings with a beautifully faceted surface. (In the summer, they are known as Twist Drops!) It begins with 2mm sterling silver square wire that we twist and taper into a long and lean drop. Next we fabricate a custom-made ear wire and polish them to a beautiful shine. These gorgeous earrings are perfect for gift-giving!.

Make an updated version of the classic pearl earrings in this 90-minute, beginner friendly workshop. We will transform sterling wire and tubing into a graceful drop earring that flatters every face. Students will learn how to melt a perfect ball onto silver wire, make wrapped loops, and form their own ear wires. All materials are included.
